We are pleased to announce a Celebration Concert for the restoration of THE ORGAN.

CELEBRATION CONCERT for the restoration of the Bishop Street Methodist Church Organ by SIMON HEADLEY: Saturday 30th September 2017, 7.30pm. Tickets on the door: Adults £10.00 Concessions £8.00 interval drink included. The Concert was originally to be by Paul Hale, Emeritus Organist at Southwell Minster, who advised and oversaw our restoration. However, owing to a hospital procedure that week, Paul Hale is not now able to play at our concert. However we are pleased that, on Paul’s recommendation, Simon Headley has agreed to stand in to provide what promises to be an equally inspiring concert of organ music..

Simon Headley is Organist and Assistant Director of Music at Leicester Cathedral, and he will be joined for some items by Motje Wolf (mezzo-soprano) and Philip Leech (tenor) who sing as ‘Anthology of Song’.

Paul Hale is looking forward greatly to providing a concert for us in 2018 in which he will also talk about the renovations and improvements made to our Church organ.
